FREEFORM: NETWORK REBRAND
Freeform is an American basic cable and satellite television channel that is owned by ABC Family Worldwide, a subsidiary of the Disney–ABC Television Group division of The Walt Disney Company. The re-brand consist of a fresh new look for Freeform, a complete new make over.
The intended audience for Freeform are young women; however, while they are inclusive of both genders, a touch of femininity would reflect their main target audience. The touch will add to their rebranding as the majority of their programs are only watched by females. This means adding splashes of the new and improved color palette, whereas having the entire rebrand to be more feminine will, in fact, push men away from watching their programs. Therefore a slight touch will do the trick smoothly. The overall look still remains accessible to both genders but the touch of femininity will enhance and stand out to their most popular target audience.
